Our Verdict

The ever-popular OMM Chest Pod is a 4-litre, front-mounted pouch that keeps your essentials right where you need them—ideal for snacks, maps, gloves or a compact camera. At 95g, it’s fantastic for long days out where stopping to dig in your main pack isn’t practical. Thanks to its adjustable strap system, it attaches cleanly to most OMM packs and plays nicely with others. The 3D mesh back panel adds some breathability, and the organiser pockets inside help keep small items from vanishing into the bottom. While it’s not as structured as some harness-style chest rigs, it strikes a good balance of weight, function, and simplicity.
