Reach for the Talon 11 when the day’s agenda calls for a day hike, mountain bike ride, summit scramble, or all of the above. This versatile panel-loading pack features a hydration reservoir sleeve, breathable, close-to-body AirScape™ backpanel and continuous-wrap harness and hipbelt that moves with you. Mounting options for an ice axe, trekking poles, a bike helmet and blinky light make this pack ready for whatever adventures you can dream up. Constructed with high-quality bluesign®-approved recycled high-tenacity nylon and a PFC-free DWR coating.

Our Verdict

At just 989g, the Talon 11 is a brilliant choice for short mountain days, summit pushes, or fast-and-light rides and scrambles. The AirScape back panel and BioStretch harness system provide a close, flexible fit that stays put without overheating, even when you’re on the move. It’s comfortable, low-profile, and moves with you effortlessly on technical ground or narrow trails.

I particularly liked the Stow-on-the-Go trekking pole attachment, which is intuitive and easy to use mid-hike. The newly updated helmet carry bar is slimmer and works equally well with climbing helmets — not just bike helmets — making it a much more adaptable pack for mountain use.

Despite its small size, the layout is well thought out, with hipbelt pockets, a stretch front bungee for layers, and an external hydration sleeve. My only gripe is the compression straps crossing over the side mesh pockets — they can make bottle access tricky when tightened down.

A lightweight, multi-sport daypack that punches well above its size for comfort, stability and versatility.
